My real name's Chris, I'm a senior sysadmin for a software company. In the course of my career, I've worked with everyone from primary school students to JPL and just about everything in-between. That's put me in a pretty cool position in my industry, since I've also been able to work with every major computing platform in a production environment, train tech school grads in the field, and even build entire IT infrastructures from the ground up. I used to see much of my previous employment as being under-payed and under-appreciated. Now I've come to see it all as one big lab session, which I was privileged enough to be payed to participate in. I mean, how sweet is that?
These days I concentrate largely on open-source technologies on the IT side of things, and my young family on the personal side. You can catch me around the web as an active member and volunteer server admin for hardwareforums.com, as well as on many development and bug tracker lists.
Hope you enjoy your stay,
-Chris (AT) |
